For anyone doing a Mazda CX5, you have to take off the attachment that comes on it by default. I found it best to just rip it off from the arrow side. For the CX5 it is attatchment 6, and it slides right on.
Thanks Netherland for a clear explanation why Canadian ICON Bosch wiper blades will never fit my VW. They sell them with one adapter each, in a couple of styles. The store offers a chart of compatibility which is completely wrong, and is up to the consumer to figure out how wrong. The style recommended by the store for top load narrow is same as top load standard, which is wrong obviously. For top load standard, adapter #2 is needed (ICON OE as it's sold here) and I need adapter #4 for top load narrow. I had to trim the sides of that adapter and it fits, but I feel like it's going to fly in the windshield of the lucky car driving behind me. I wanted these blades, but the lack of proper adapters makes them unusable. I haven't seen one model from Bosch with adapter #4 on them. There is one set, but I'm not sure about the blades and so far I know it's sold in Europe, but in Canada, haven't seen it yet. Safest bet, just go original VW.

It never shows how to remove the piece that's already on there. So I just used a spoon. On one side to remove the piece I couldn't use and snapped in the correct fitting for my car model. No force needed just scoop under one side and take it from there.
The Bosch icon blades I bought for my toyota didn’t come with half of those pieces. I have just a hook. How do I get them on?
